For you guys who never played this before, The Green Beret was a 1984 NES game based on the movie of the same name. The game was a little slow at first but later it became more exciting as you progressed through the game. One of the most memorable achievements is flying in a helicopter with a rocket launcher. There is also a secret level in a U.S. War Department Museum. Fighting Blinky Mcguire, your goal is to kill all of the enemies in the game but try not to die yourself. If you do, then you lose. There are three difficulty settings in the game which is very easy, Medium and Hard. You can only control one character at a time, but the game features a coop mode. The game is set during the Vietnam war, and you’re playing as a Green Beret. There are plenty of weapons and enemy types that you can collect throughout the game, but the variety of the gameplay is what makes this game so fun. I’ve had my copy for over 20 years now and it is in better condition than ever. The title screen is in better condition than you would expect, it doesn’t even have a sticky label on the back of the box. As for the game, it’s in perfect condition. The cartridge is cracked here and there, but it’s not too noticeable. I’ve had this game since I was 6 years old. With a little bit of elbow grease you can put together a nice little package for under $20.
